Chapter 12

MenuBar and ToolBar Wizards

The MenuBar Wizard is used to create a MenuBar with MenuTitles on the form.

This wizard allows the programmer to actually see what the menus will look like on the finished program.

While the MenuTitles will appear exactly as they will during run time, it is up to the programmer to set up the MenuPanes, MenuCommands, MenuCacades, and MenuSeparators in the Initialization Section of the Text Editor.

Below is a screen shot of a sample MenuWizard. The MenuTitle object name is entered on the left set of text fields while the text, which is to appear in the title, is entered into the right set of text fields.

Similar to the Menu Wizard, the ToolBar Wizard allows the construction of a ToolBar with ToolButtons.

The ToolButon Wizard allows the specification either text or an icon. To specify text, type in the desired text in the right column. To indicate an icon, simply leave the text field blank.

When you click on the Accept button, the toolbar will be set up as specified. If an icon was indicated, a generic icon will appear on the toolbar of the form. It is up to the programmer to specify an actual icon in the Initialize Section of the Text Editor.

Below is a screen shot of an example ToolBar Wizard.

Below is a screen shot of the form after using the two examples above.
